Last week, our director Laura Taitz had a meeting with Jodie Moore a nurse educator within the Nursing Education & Research Unit from Prince of Whales Hospital to discuss how MedEarth and the hospital could collaborate effectively to contribute to a more sustainable world. On her way out, Laura and her team saved 20kg of unused consumables leftover from the unit. Everyday, truckloads of medical surplus ends up in landfill, which has a significant impact on the environment. We look forward to working more with Prince of Wales in the future! For 10 years, MedEarth has collaborated with hospitals in Australia to reduce the amount of usable medical items going to landfill. Thank you for helping us help others!
